Benefits of Smart Card

- Purchase QR ticket in Non-BRT services & pay via smart card balance.
- Freedom to change destination station anytime during journey, Amount will be deducted on Tap-out.
Fare and Ticketing Information
Automatic fare collection system provides the hassle free entry and exit to passengers from the stations. Passengers can choose a smart card or a Paper ticket (QR) for travelling by Buses.
Passenger can purchase Paper Ticket at all BRTS stations POS counters and ETMs. A smart card can be purchased from all BRTS stations POS counters, Terminals Personalization centres as decided by HDBRTS.
Paper Ticket (QR Code) - Single Journey Ticket
This is a single journey one way ticket from the fixed origin station where passengers are located to fixed destination station. Passengers can enter the paid area with a Paper ticket though the Fare Gates.
Contactless Smart Card
Smart card is a virtual wallet monetary E-Purse which facilitates seamless travel. Passengers can also load the various types of concessional passes on smart card, however, Concessional Passes will be sold only at card Personalization centres after submitting required document.
The first time user will have to purchase the smart card by paying Rs.200 without any security deposit or administration charges and same can be used for traveling in BRTS corridor.
In case of Concessional Pass, the first time user is to pay one time administration/processing charges of Rs.150. Concessional Pass will be valid for a defined period of time.
Recharge / Top-up of Smart Card
Passengers can recharge / Top-up the Smart Card via Cash at any of BRTS stations POS counters. Smart can also be recharged via HDBRTS website and Mobile App. Passengers are allowed to recharge their Smart card E-Purse for any amount in multiples of Rs 50 up to maximum card balance of Rs.2000. In case the smart card is topped up within validity period, the balance amount remaining on the card is carried forward.
Passenger need to maintain a standing balance of Rs 32/- in the smart card to complete maximum journey in BRTS network. Based on each usage, the applicable fare will get deducted from the smart card account (deduction will be made at exit fare gates only).
